100% electrical eh? Nice.

Theoretically yeah but I've never ever seen it be a problem.. and I really can't remember a Hartstone demesne that ever hurt me in the least (Even as mugwump with level 3 elec penality!).. so either no one uses it or the damage is utter utter crap.

Yes, the Geomancer version is called Pollute. I've never used it myself, but from my understanding the thing that makes it truly powerful is the fact that our demesnes are already so offensive. If we time Pollute to hit immediately after demesne effects, then throw in a couple of staff casts for good measure, most people will die. If it's not timed correctly, though, it's not nearly as useful.

Ah, I was close on the name. Thanks for the clarification. And I think I can pull up a test Hiriako and Shorlen did concerning Pollute/Fury/Maelstrom, but give me a bit of time.

The effect Storm is nice against those who are weak against it, and it's okay against everyone else. It doesn't compare to Hailstorm/Boulderblast, but it'll hit all enemies. (I'll have to see if it's an effect blocked by protection)

this may be outdated but

Scrolls of protection protect against three effects of each demense:
Druid: Swarm (paralysis), spores (afflictions), pollen (asthma)
Aqua: Jellyfish (stun), needlerain (stripping), stillwater (drowning)
Geo: Poison (makes hungry), duststorm (blinds), sickening (-1 regen)

It's not that much damage.

Polution is 100% poison, I think. Not too bad, but there do exist a few poison resistances.
Also, the fact that it blows away shields is amazing.

Protection scroll was changed to block currents instead of jellies, actually.

On the subject of trans abilities - Dylara, Fury is not supposed to equate to hailstorm/boulderblast - it's supposed to equate to Maelstrom. The damage is the same - druids just don't have the damage power to make use of it.

I never said it did. blink.gif

You just quoted and proved yourself wrong, F. tongue.gif She equaled Storm to hailstom/boulderblast, not Fury. :>
Diamondais2007-04-09 19:26:22
Um.. Fury now equates the Druidry ability Storm?

Storm Strike down your enemies with lightning strikes.
Fury Unleash the god-like power of nature.

And in any case, that was disproving that Storm was the Druid equilivant to Boulderblast and Hailstorm.
Forren2007-04-09 19:27:09
Read wrong, sorry. I have been pwned by teh Ash.
Ashteru2007-04-09 19:27:48
Don't worry. Happens to so many people. 8)
Furien2007-04-09 19:47:27
Lightning's only some...300 damage or so. I can't really equate that to how ungodly boulderblast/hailstorm can be. unsure.gif
Ildaudid2007-04-09 19:51:14
I remember when Dylara hit me with her cudgel thingy, wow, what a joke. That was the saddest attack evah! I was undeffed and it hit for like 4-500 damage (or was 3-400) and maybe 200 bleeding. I felt bad for her.

A bit less actually.

Forren was just.. completely wrong.
Ashteru was half right. I never equated Storm to those two. I said it didn't even compare to them.

Ask Xavius how long it took him to kill me when I was sapped and my system looped.
Unknown2007-04-09 21:33:35
Don't underestimate the effectiveness of bleeding over time, though. For some, the bleeding isn't much of a problem, but for others it's much worse than the straight damage. Even with kingdom, clotting, and chervil, I still manage to bleed to death by running out of mana or willpower. Don't even get me started on choke + bleeding... biggrin.gif

21 cudgels by the log.

EDIT: Typo fixed. He's not that tanky.
