This Hailstorm "bugfix" is ridiculous. The skill was already vastly overpowered and unbalancing to group combat, as it not only hits every enemy in your room or an adjacent room for (nearly) staff damage (about 1k), it hits all elevations of the target room indiscriminately.

Er, the bugfix made it so that casting from the sky only hits people at sky level (and ground only at ground level).

Could Bards who have Ecology get different familiars than the druids? content.gif

Like Spiritsingers would get Sparrows, Racoons and Corn Snakes.
While Harbingers would get Nightengales, Red-eyed Ferrets and Jackdaws.

What do you think?
Furien2007-03-10 19:44:41
Raccoon?

OMG YES PLEASE
Anarias2007-03-10 19:46:52
I don't think there needs to be different animals for either class. That doesn't really make much sense in terms of ecology to me. Instead, I'd rather there simply be a greater number of animals that are created when rebirthing.
Unknown2007-03-10 20:08:06
Actually, I agree with Anaria. But what I would like even more, is that if some of the animals weren't indigenous to only one forest. Like raccoons, then I could send mine in to spy on Glom and such.

Oh, good, that's not what the announce post implied. Thank you.

Plus, it would just be uber-sexy. What if we could play gravedigger, and pull people underground? They wouldn't be able to do anything except burrow above (they did change it so everyone can do that, right? Because of the dreamweavers?) but it would still be fun to randomly pull people underground. And have an aggressive wyrm above ground. Although I've never seen them actually do anything to a burrowing person. I'll have to go try it now.

I love Totem Sense. Totem Renew.. well, I'll have to see.

Lets you sense how long till your bond dissolve and lets you renew it for 1 power per month in case anyone is curious.

Totem renew is more for Crow than Stag, really-- but Totem Sense is good for EVERYBODY! (Our nest decays when the totem unbonds)

While I understand this, and like it, from a combat perspective, I absolutely LOATHE it for how it shifts the RP of saplings. Now blackthorn and such are evil, tainted, and bad, and will be mulched on sight. One less thing the communes actually have in common.
Unknown2007-03-14 05:48:51
Glomdoring is still trying to get along with Serenwilde? If they're too crazy to acknowledge their own taint they should just decide that Serenwilde is the tainted one.

Oh. Now that you mentioned it. Damn. Me and Kalodan wasted time on this, making sure the Commune didn't mulch the two saplings that weren't Rowens (We have a reason to mulch Rowens).
Anarias2007-03-14 06:17:30
Whoa, let's not get hasty. Its great that the trees matter now in cases of druid vs. druid. This does in no way mean the saplings are 'evil' or anything though. It can be explained as druids choosing certain trees that are common to their native forest to focus their energy through. Any other tree would be more of an effort. No need to mulch just yet. blink.gif

Also, its rowans whistling.gif

I really would have prefered to not have used the energy in arguing for the trees protections and then get up to find out they'd all been mulched. This is also a problem from a combat aspect, Mulching is not fast, to mulch then break will take long and take you off two equilibriums. Longer Equilibrium balance from breaking over top is just nasty, when before it never hurt to have either and was up to the Commune or the Druid Guild to decide whether the trees would be allowed to remain.

But meh. I'm heading off to bed because I'm tired and probably misunderstanding things.
