How so? How is it less possible now, as opposed to before?
You can't tell the health/mana of your target while in dreamform.

So... it just needs to be fixed. As it is supposed to according to what was written.

The entire point of the change though was to provide a way to tell tiredness level while awake though, so you don't waste power with deepsleeps

Shorlen, seriously. It says it was supposed to do it along with what it was normally doing. It just needs to be fixed.
Shryke2007-01-20 00:11:36
Shorlen is talking about the envoy suggestion that LEAD to this change.. as in, he thinks the meaning of his suggestion (which was agreed apon) was missed... He understands that by this wording it's not what he intended to be changed.

The announce post doesn't say a thing about the skill working while the dreamweaver is awake.

You never said that. Yeesh, no wonder I was wondering what the heck you were talking about.

Err, you tested it with the target asleep didn't you? Because I just tried it and it worked as the ab said it should
QUOTE
By evaluating the corporeal form of another, you will gain an understanding of their level of tiredness. If the target is asleep, you will also gain an undertsanding of the target's health and mana.
Though that's just annoying unless channel/sap have been changed to work on the sleeping

Shorlen2007-01-20 17:02:08
ARGH, it looks like the envoy request was COMPLETELY misunderstood and the skill nerfed by accident
Hopefully, I can get it reverted back... *sigh*
EDIT: Here is what was envoyed:
Dreamweave Evaluate should be changed so that, while the user is in dreamform, it will tell how exhausted the target is in addition to how much health/mana they have. Dreamweave evaluate should also become usable while the dreamweaver is awake, but in this case, it only tells how exhausted their target is, not their health or mana.
EDIT EDIT: Meh, it's really irritating when the dreamweaving instakill requires half mana, and you can only drain while targets are awake, but you can't tell their mana while they are awake. It costs 15ish power to put someone to sleep, and you have to do that first before you can tell if their mana is of a reasonable amount to be able to actually get it below half?
Besides, evaluate doesn' tell maxes, so unless you start the fight with using it to tell their max mana, you have no idea what half of it is.
EDIT EDIT EDIT: Sorry for all the ranting, but detecting tiredness levels is something dreamweavers have been begging for since dreamweaving came out, we finally get it, and it's 1) unusable, and 2) includes a random massive nerf to an important unrelated skill

+ Dying will not cause you to drop gold, even if it is not in a pack.
+ Regrowth in Druidry will cast Storm instead of Briars.
+ Regrowth, earthquake, and flashflood will synch all their spells
together, but they will last 1/3 the time as normal.

I'm dancing in joy (not really) at the change to Regrowth.
Shiri2007-02-01 02:15:25
Not that I mind, but what is the conglutination change supposed to achieve?

Gives time for someone to fossilize, raise a gravestone, eat the corpse, or grab it and run off to offer (the last was the main reason).
Genevieve2007-02-01 02:24:21
It's a good thing though if the Nexuses get invaded by creatures again. That Magnagora death spam when the Serpent invaded the Megalith was a bit ludicrous.

EWWWW WAIT.
NOW I mind. I hope that part of that change doesn't involve fossilisation, eating the corpse or lastriting being able to -stop- conglutination. That would be RETARDED.

Uh, no, as Shamarah said, it sure doesn't (and that would have been vetoed to heck). It simply lets people have a bit of time to play with a corpse.
Shiri2007-02-01 02:35:06
Oh...
Well, if it makes people that much happier...

From: Morgfyre, the Legion

Subj: Minor Fixes
Amidst some behind-the-scenes changes, there are a few that are relevant to the playerbase at large:
- You must be on the ground to either sanctify or defile a shrine (or its sanctified rooms) now.
- If you CONFIG LOYALSAYS OFF, you will no longer hear your Patron's Shrine Herald announce defiling.
- Avatar resurrection now costs significantly more essence than the paltry sum it once was.
Enjoy!

wait.. why is there a bank again?
That gold change is silly. By babying people, they're just going to encourage further and further whining about more and more asinine things as time goes on.
