If I only could.. laugh.gif

I can't barrier and burst/clot at the same time. They're all on the substratus channel.

However, I can barrier-maelstrom within five seconds of each other now. Titan refresh power. ninja.gif

Evil, evil mage!!! Titan refresh is awesome for mages I bet.... biggrin.gif

envoy stuff

Good faith effort to make an analysis, but some numbers make all the data rather misleading and erroneous. My trans focus is under a second flat. Just saw Geb's post. ninja.gif

I agree that mantakaya locks were a problem with two daggers, but it was more than easy to deal with - I had transcendent discipline/resilience. I would shrug 1/3 of the time, and focus body time is not an issue.

Unless the (now single) dagger is changed back to 4 seconds, I really don't see myself staying telekinetic for much longer. Heartburst is a good way to kill yourself against guardians.

*cough FORCEFIELD *cough
And what does maelstrom do, anywho? Just hurt people in demesne? If so, how much?
Zalandrus2006-12-04 23:26:26
Maelstrom hits all enemies in your demesne, at the cost of all power and a lot of mana, I believe. It used to also break your staff, but not so anymore.

All I know is that it wasn't considered useful enough of a skill for me to get tongue.gif . I always thought I was at trans Aquamancy, but in reality I was just at the second-to-last skill the whole time.

And I agree. Forcefield, if you're a race with high charisma, is really worth it. It's not like the other skills in telekinesis are completely useless either.
Unknown2006-12-04 23:30:42
Maelstrom also ends all of your demesne effects once it actually hits (not when you first cast it.)

It doesnt break staff? Fury breaks Cudgel.
Unknown2006-12-04 23:33:56
Are you sure? It went through a while ago that Maelstrom and the geomancy one don't break your staff anymore. If fury still breaks your cudgel you might want to bug it.

The trans skills don't break your staff/cudgel anymore, they changed that a while ago.

Raise puts everyone in the room thats declared or offprime in the trees.

It's UNLEASH STAFF/CUDGEL

Edit: Completely off topic, but the death message from Choke made me giggle. I've never seen it before.

Person's eyes rolls up into her head as she collapses and dies.
Zalandrus2006-12-05 00:20:59
Sigh, choke is soooo cool, I really miss it. I can't believe it was a ranged attack that went through shield...except for one instance, I'd just stand in a relatively safe room and start choking little weak people who were raiding tongue.gif .

I always had this master plan that if the guild could get together, say, 5 telekinetics, and then just hide them somewhere and have them cast simultaneous choking... evil.gif . I wonder how many chokers you'd need to bring down somebody like Ixion in one round...

Considering the fact that choke only does about 400 damage, I would say you would need 20+. Good luck on finding that many Telekinetics.

I'm at 75% mythical (I think) So proud of myself smile.gif 100% IG... anyway...doesn't trans mean better demesne, better staff, etc.? Also, how hard does this hit? Is it worth anything, or just the fact that it's trans?

Maelstrom is insane... have Forren hit your group with it sometime... it will decimate you like thunderclap used to.

Compared to Pollution, it is waaaaay better. Pollution is a joke.... smile.gif

Pollution can be timed to make the demesne damage hit at the same time as pollute damage. Aqua demesne really doesn't do much damage. Fury could definitely use help though.
Xavius2006-12-05 15:29:26
Pollution, maelstrom, fury, and thunderclap have the same damage formula according to our esteemed admin. The difference is just damage type.

100% cutting ftl.
Shorlen2006-12-05 18:53:06
Could someone post the damage types of pollution and maelstrom, by any chance?
Clise2006-12-05 23:44:43
Pollution is 100% poison, maelstorm is 50% cold 50% bludgeon I think
