If I'm not mistaken.. shrubbing is suppose to an administartive/OOC punishment. Making them IC I think might negate that fact... that being said..

Instead of shrubbing, the gods discover that so and so is really a Soulless that somehow snuck out. (afterall, the soulless just ruin the world and charachters that end up getting shrubbed ruined the game somehow) And they get sent behind to where the soulless get sent.. alternatively, they can get eaten by Magnora so instead of being shrubbed.. you get 'eaten' (Enjoy Ialie)

Magnagora is going to have turn canibal then.

What about temporary shrubbings? Would that be a failure to properly digest?

hehe i'd like to see a god "curse" the next time you get toaded, Crucified, Frozen, Fossilized, etc. (No matter where) you'll stay like that unless it's lifted.

toads could croak, the crucified could twitch, the frozen could gaze and the fossilized could groan

If you are cursed by a god perhaps for ic violations the fates/gods could curse you thus trapping you.

What if the they got a unique racial punishment instead of being a shrub? Or what if it was a racial shrubbing? Like if they were Dracnari they would become a skartch cactus, or if they were Merian, they could become umm...a...er.. kelp bush...?

I am actually against any other form of shrubbing. Shrubbing isn't ment to be interesting or cool, its for people who do something idiotic. Ie me. So i think it should just stay how it is.

Having had a short shrubbed period myself in my chequered IRE past.. I like it the way it is. you can't do anything except rustle, you look bloody stupid, and anyone can kill you who can see you. It's exceptionally irritating, and it's an extremely good deterrent. Having said that, something nice and original for Lusternia would be kinda cool.. but whatever it is.. it needs to cling onto the twin punishments of: having absolutely no control over your shrubbed body, and being mortal and utterly unable to defend yourself.
