Yeah, sadly a lot of people seem to get off on restricting other people's fun, be it barring passage on Ethereal, staking out "their sphere" on Astral, or what have you. The auto-class debacle in Achaea is one example of this going way too far, but it's sad nonetheless. To me, anyway.

It's my thread now. We're going to talk about what I want, when I want. Also, there's a toll you have to pay to post here. And you have to flatter me outrageously.

Anyway, back on-topic, the druid demesne is pretty spammy, but then most demesneseses are if there's a lot of people in them. What I hate is Treelife, plus or minus whatever the hell it is that moondancers use to blow me out of the trees. Even as the druid, the one who's supposed to be benefitting from all this tree fighting, I have a hard time actually hitting anybody because they're zooming up and down the trees so much. I guess the answer is to just not use Treelife, but then it costs me balance to raise cudgel and get folks up there, when they can then just shimmy down for free.

Bleh.

Agreed, and I don't want to gag all that spammy stuffs since my system is freaking slow already. It would be great if the divines would just let us see any demesne effects that are affecting us, not the 10 or so people in the same room as well. Just as how vibes in Achaea only showed messages for the people getting hit by them.

Yeah but then you get into the realm of having to do too much configurable stuff. Like, I could presumably sometimes want to see when my allies or enemies are being dragged up into the trees. Other times I might not. I guess in Achaea/Aetolia/Imperian we all just lived with not being able to see what was happening to our allies or enemies, so it'd be OK here. But something like Treelife still has to be spammy, because you want to see when people are leaving the room. I suppose I don't need to see when all 30 of the people I have enemied all get asthma at the same time, though Unless I'm a particularly masochistic healer. Which I'm not.

I don't know, I like to use treelife or my stag to get my enemies up the trees and then I sit up there and use treebane on them. And then I just sit back and cudgel.

Please don't ask me how often that tactic worked, I don't wont to blush. Meh.

A lot of times I feel like I'm working at cross purposes, as a drood. I'd rather perch in the trees and cudgel down at them, until they are forced to come up and faces cudgel + thorns. But then, everybody's got geyser or that wind thing to knock me down, but that's all right if you're stocked on levitate. Treelife + treebane on people just confuses the hell out of me and I can't hit anybody with anything. It's all just so confusing to me. But I guess I could just be an idiot

Nah. I am too dumb to get a levitation enchantment, so that evens it out again.
And I'd rather sit in a tree, let my demesne do the work and walk around in my dreambody, nerving my enemies a bit. But...oh yes, I can't into dreamform while in trees. Meh.

Anyway, get a levitate enchantment. If you try to go in trees without it, you'll get so owned by breaking your legs all the time that you'll start weeping. And then you'll die. And then you'll weep some more, unless you're trans planar or outside enemy territory on Prime.

But I've clearly got a lot to learn about drood-ness. As a Geo I could actually like, hold people down, or summon them back. Now they get to run willy-nilly across my demesne, up and down trees, and it just makes me want to double-kill them when I get my hands on them. But I never do, because I suck. And another thing, when I've tested my cudgel on peopel it seems like it hurts a darn lot, what with Knowledge blessing + sceptre. But hardly anybody ever dies, even on top of a fairly hurty demesne! Stupid tanky people! Grrrr!

And: Anumi is super-cool and everyone wants to give her free credits.

1: Leef is just learning to fight and is abit small to be asking if you can go to ethereal.
2: damage alone sucks as a druid do stuff to hinder sipping or movement and they will die easily like scarab or something

If you ask me, Leef should probably go bash a little first. Last I saw, she was level 26, but it's good that we have another druid interested in fighting at least.

Plus remember barely anyone is around to watch ethereal and thats all she really is doing. She hasnt learned nor is she able to fight hand to hand yet

Heh, she was level 16 when she killed Ixion and she's died a couple times since then.

no she wasnt. she was level 20-26 when she killed him she was over level 30 from the two ixion kills. Ask her yerself

Fine, fine, but that's still too low of a level in my opinion. You can't survive nearly as long (obviously) with less health. Two knight swings and the druid's out.

Right, I understand being a low-level. But if you're low-level, and a strong breeze blows you over, don't act all tough and threaten people who're much bigger than you (in levels and might, not trying to toot my own fighting horn, because I know I suck) or else they'll come over and blow on you.

That's why I said she's a "gnat". If you're weak, and you repeatedly die because you're provoking people and they call your bluff, try something else for a while.
