How much damage does Terenas do to you with moonburst? He has one less intelligence.. it makes no sense to me that Triden would do much more (not that you said that but some people have). And just so we are clear: Murphy can do over 2,500 damage to persons in one combo (pulp?), stun, has a 50% chance to give an affliction... there is also an entire skillset devoted to reducing magic damage which cuts down magic damage by 25%.

1400 * 0.25 = 350

1400 - 350 = 1050

Compare this with Aqua staff which would do what... ~1600+ damage to you and you have no where near the ability to decrease fire damage that much.

You should be glad to know that I do 1500 damage per burst to Shamarah with 19 intelligence.

Actually, warriors can reduce fire by that much, with fitness + draconis ritual. Both offer some fire protection, then there's also the elixer that grants protection from fire damage.

Yup, fitness + frost reduces the elemental damage by a good deal. If proofing actually worked I would take even less fire damage, that'd be even better. Frost reduces by a good 300 damage out of 1500 damage for me against Geb, true you can't get a vial to raise your magic defense, but like Narsrim said, there is Magic skillset. My damage of 1500 to Shamarah goes down to around 900 against Geb, it's insane for me to try and kill him with burst.

Make magic include elemental damage.

No, in groups you kill as fast a possible, the fact they go down in one pulp is an advatage I use. just like you can lash a warrior with surge up twice and kill him.

EDIT: lvl 3 racial advantage to fire plus a frost vial makes aquas stafs not hurt as much. Wearing a cold protected coat and cold reduction protects me somewhat from hailstorm, but hailstorm hurts more than staffs for me

EDIT 2: And its not my fault serens are little girly men who don't have much HP, get them bashing, you can walk to astral, and choose a tanky race. The fact that most of them can't tank damage and don't stay out of my way isn't my fault.

No, for the 50th time, we cannot in any sense 'walk' to Astral without Nexus in Planar (50% mythical) or without the help of a Mag or Celest citizen, which the majority of Lusternia's players do not have, let alone SW.

I'm merely correcting Murphy's statement, nothing else, there is another thread complaining about Astral that I already stated my opinions, there wasn't a need for it on this one.

I really can't see any justifiable argument for Seren's not being able to get to Astral as easy as the cities.
