Half would still cause you to be essentially blind for 2/5ths of a Mage spar, if they had only blackout embedded. Just make it not embeddable. *nod*
Amaru2005-04-09 00:46:53
Ya, then slow down the whole demesne. I just sparred Shamarah and had blackout about 75% of the time, was webbed for 20%, stunned for another 20% and I kept falling asleep (prone) but couldn't see it for the blackout. And did I mention, his demesne was moving me around so I couldn't pull anything off whatsoever.
Sylphas2005-04-09 00:54:06
Wish my demense stunned. Hallucinations just isn't the same. *daydream*
Murphy2005-04-09 01:31:00
yep, blackout should definitley get the ass. Its rediculous.

Yeah, that's about what I noticed with the Hartstone demesne. The Druid couldn't really do much of anything to me, but hell if I could do anything to them either.

Shamarah2005-04-09 01:34:40
Yeah. Dreamweaving looks neat... but there's not a ton you can do with it.
Ethelon2005-04-09 01:40:58
Not that I have to much use with Dreamweaving yet, but I've found only Memroyloss of ANY use so far inside or outside the demesne...which irritates me...I feel as if I transed the damn skillset for one trick
Shamarah2005-04-09 01:53:06
Yeah. It sounds like a neat concept... but there's not a ton one can do with it. I think I've come up with a few strategies, but they don't really work all that great... if only Drowse could be used outside of dreambody.

This is so similar to every fight I have with Mages. The most frustrating thing ever. I hate fighting them so much I just avoid them, wherever I can. I get no enjoyment from it.

Your statement is BS Amaru. In the fight you had with me, you only dealt with blackout twice. With the fight you had with Munsia, I did not even see blackout used. Stop trying to exaggerate the problems you went through fighting some mages.
Athana2005-04-09 04:44:56
I'm really wondering whether I should take dreamweaving...because chasm or poison gas with blackout would be sick
Unknown2005-04-09 05:12:46
So, uhhh, when do warriors get a blackout poison?

Murphy2005-04-09 08:39:04
bonecurhsers have a blackout ability, which is blackeye.

That statement wasn't about blackout. I was referring to demesnes in general which rather than being effective tools for the Mage to utilise, are just annoyances which do no real harm but prevent the opponent from being able to do anything whatsoever.
As for blackout, I assure you I fight more Mages than just you and Munsia. I had an incredibly dull fight with Shamarah where I was constantly blacked out, and an equally bad one with Silvanus where I was constantly collapsing and unconscious from hunger, even while eating platters every 30 seconds.

What about us Blademasters?

Gwylifar2005-04-15 22:06:15
We have shiny swords! Shiny! Look, see? Shiny! Stare into the shininess and forget all your worries.

You really brighten my days, Gwyl.
Asmoth2005-04-21 19:24:32

I didn't know I could dreamcast mote here

Shamarah2005-04-21 19:27:50
It's an ability, Embed.
