Are you looking to do combat? If so, I advise this learning scheme:

Discipline to Trans
Discernment to contemplate
Lowmagic to Green
Combat to Trans
Lowmagic to Trans
Resilience to Trans

Combat later, but at the moment, skilling for effiency in bashing.
Thanks for the tips

Well, the first item on that list will help bashing the most. More discipline makes you get back faster from paralysis and recover wp faster, as well as giving you the amazing damage shift ability, so that you don't waste overkilling crit damage.

The rest of the things on the list are almost strictly for combat, though more resilience/lowmagic will make you marginally tankier.

Discipline to DamageShift should definitely be your first pickup.

I would also consider Beastmastery to adept 33% (Aggressive), since aggressive lets your beast raze shields without taking your balance, which is awesome for caster-types. Will take some time to train up the beast, but it's well worth it for bashing.
