Some quick notes:
- Functions as lock basically (which it mimics).
- Ignores rebounding and parry.
- When your arms are locked there is a 50% chance any attack fails and costs 1s of balance. This works on spells as well as armed attacks.

Lock Vitals:
Malarious jams his blades into your (head|chest|gut).

Lock Limb:
Malarious jams his blades into your (left|right) (arm|leg).

Current attack failed (requires arm grapple)
Both your arms must be free and functioning to do that.

Failed to Run:
Your gut is held in place by Malarious's blades. You must writhe to escape.

Failing to stand:
You must have two good legs to do that.

More comin later as we find things.

I take it it prevents standing? Is the line the same "you must have two good legs..."?
Malarious2012-07-01 18:46:13
It does not stop standing, locking legs can stop kicks.

Ootalangk is intended NOT to be used with oriama.

Ah, I managed to get it confirmed that it does stop standing, but with the same frequency as it stops attacks. Thanks for these lines again.

Interesting, that might make it useful on legs because it causes balance loss... but 100% stop standing seems better :P (normal lock)

Does it give an affmessage?

Ok when ootalangk stops you from standing up you get the legs message, your legs must both be functioning.. basically the generic "failed to use legs" line. Cannot recall what it is.

It does NOT take balance if you fail to stand though, so you just do it again.

There are several bugs at the moment, I will post when all of them are handled or at least replied on.

Just an update:

- Ootalangk now properly gains momentum
- Ootalangk now causes balance lock on the locked leg briefly, about 0.8 seconds

Failing to stand:
You must have two good legs to do that.
