What do you think is the ideal Cavalier mount?

There are 3 categories. 600 points, 800 points and 1050 points.

To start us off I'll suggest the following, but I know there are better ideas out there.


600 points: (Mount) , Swim , Gallop, Regenerate Health, Battle , Trot ,
Aggressive, Kick, Regenerate Ego , Bodyguard, Heal Health, Spit Poison ,


800 points: (Mount), Swim, Charge,Gallop, Regenerate Health, Battle,Trot, Aggressive, Kick,Regenerate Ego, Bodyguard, Heal Health, Spit Poison

1050 points: (Mount),
Swim, Charge, Gallop, Regenerate Health, Battle, Trot, Aggressive, Kick, Fly, Jumping, Regenerate Ego, Bodyguard, Heal Health, Spit Poison

Mine has:
Mount, gallop, swim, regenerate mana, battle, balance, trot, thicken hide (why is Thicken Hide not on your list anywhere? It's pretty essential for a cavalier mount!), fly, kick, bodyguard, chameleon, cast reflection, all 5 influence powers, phoenix, climb, and charge.

I'm not entirely sure why she has regenerate mana, it was probably intended to be regenerate health, but eh. Not a big deal.

I also noticed that aggressive disappeared from my list somewhere, so I dropped the mana regeneration and climbing to give her aggressive back.

It is useful and expensive. (200 points). It certainly has good synergy with some Cavalier abilities

Why regenerate ego by the way?

For heal health. Personally, I don't think I'd bother.

I'm still trying to find other combinations of powers, but I keep running out of budget space.

Sounds like what all cavaliers need to do is drop the rhino for a mammoth and spam pin/trample. Practicly everything you got knocksdown.

But just a suggestion though, to save space if that's a problem for you. Pick aggressive or heal health, don't take both. Since you can't use both of them it's just a waste of space. Also, people who can't afford a pet, you might want different beasts for bashing/combat/influence, that will also free up some space. 600 trains doesn't get you very far.

I like the idea of a different mount for pk, bashing, influencing. It might make sense (though I think you can fit everything you need for bashing/influencing into a single mount). However, you can't trample while impaling your victim, so that technique is a no-go.

Trample was being really silly so it was nerfed, yeah.

Gust, as kick fails if they are prone. Kick used to have an advantage in that it was physical and so could be used in distort, but now that gust is also physical there's no advantage to kick.

Kick ofcourse is free if you are a cavalier, while gust will cost you trains.

Ideal Cavalier mount? A custom one with the phoenix ability. All it takes is someone murdering your mount and you're almost useless for an hour.

Also, can retrain those once a RL day to suit your needs.

I'm not sure I'd even consider Cavalier without my pet. It really makes me want to try warrior at some point.

Only works on the same continent (like beast whistle sans the artifact), and puts the beast in your inventory (so you have to drop it). Neither of which are greatly awful, but I tend to just use beast whistle for convenience.

Ok, where is this beast whistle artifact, and how is it different from beast whsitle the skill?

Auction only (for now), and it makes whistling a beast work from any continent / plane.

Also, it takes half the time to recover from using it.
