Continuum Melds

Yeah... The problem with Continuum isn't navigating, it's finding breakpoints for melds, that's darn impossible.


So, this really struck me as quite silly. I know the ingame map of Continuum looks really confusing and that abnormal topologies can be bemusing, but Continuum really is not that hard to meld or break for.

The key thing to note is that Continuum is topologically identical to this pair of clovers...

...where all four 'A' rooms connect to eachother through a sphere room, as do all 'B' rooms and so forth. As such, you're only going to see two real cases that you need to carefully consider: The Single Loop...

...with one breakpoint at the Matrix and the other two at spheres, or the Double Loop...

...which runs through both loops to cover five sphere rooms and has breakpoints at the Matrix, in two sphere rooms and maybe one other place depending on the size of the meld.

Everything else is just a variation on the same concept, either circling a single loop and ending in a sphere room or crossing loops at 90 degree angles to cover both loops. And the advice is simple either way: Check the sphere chambers for breakpoints and then go from there.
