One of the ritual-prayers in the compendium of the Moondancers, Anita needed to perform a ritual in order to pass her second Glimmer of Moondust task, so she decided to lead one herself, and Xiran aided her. This happened quite some time ago, but I've only gotten around to editing it now! Enjoy smile.gif

Beneath an ancient tree.
A statue stands here of Albion, First of the Crones gazing into a cauldron. A sigil in the shape of a small, rectangular monolith is on the ground. A large elegant compendium lies here. In the shape of an open palm, a metallic sigil lies here. A painting of Moondance Tower on a festive night has been thrown on the ground here. Spring's Emerald, Lasariya, Initiate of the Mysteries is here. She wields an athame dagger in her right hand. Silver Font, Xiran L'Eternae, of Wilder Winter is here.
You see exits leading north and west.

Silver Font, Xiran L'Eternae, of Wilder Winter flits around and around you.

Anita clears her throat a little and smiles around at all gathered. She grips the staff of the broom of ancient ash gently and begins to sweep the area in an outward spiral.

Anita stops sweeping and motions to Xiran.

Xiran performs a graceful curtsey.

Bowing her head, Silver Font, Xiran L'Eternae, of Wilder Winter says, "We thank you, Fae, for your generosity."

Lifting her head up to glance about craftily, Silver Font, Xiran L'Eternae, of Wilder Winter says, "Sly Leprechaun, for your sneaky ways weaken our enemies in their stride."

Silver Font, Xiran L'Eternae, of Wilder Winter reaches up to pluck free a cherry blossom, letting it drift to the swept ground.

The stars gleam from far above, caught behind a faint yellow haze that renders them as caught, glimmering topaz motes.

Sondayga sucks thoughtfully on his teeth.

Holding up and cherry blossom and letting it fall to the ground, you say, "Sweet Maiden, your blessings strengthen our soul, strengthen us against cloying woe."

Giggling, Silver Font, Xiran L'Eternae, of Wilder Winter says, "Glad Brownie, your tickles are a smile on the world. We thank you for your light-heartedness."

Silver Font, Xiran L'Eternae, of Wilder Winter pulls on a branch to send a shower of tickling petals down.

The horizon glows with burnished shades of orange and red, heralding the imminent arrival of Father Sun upon the rim of the world.

Sondayga Zayah, Heir of Ellindel smiles at the petals falling around.

With a smile, you say, "Airborne Sylph, your dexterity is unmatched, no enemy may escape your flying traps."

Anita cups her hands and blows the petals from her palms.

Raising her arms, Silver Font, Xiran L'Eternae, of Wilder Winter says, "Dear Dryad, so strong in arboreal grace, help us in a forest where there is none to be seen."

Silver Font, Xiran L'Eternae, of Wilder Winter gently lays another blossom on the ground.

Plucking a cherry blossom from a branch above, you say, "Strange Pigwidgeon, the mystery of the fae, hold back those who flee in vain."

Flitting over the branch to retrieve a small white bud, Silver Font, Xiran L'Eternae, of Wilder Winter says, "Blessed Sprite, your energies are truly precious. Reinforce our mind with your gentle hand."

Silver Font, Xiran L'Eternae, of Wilder Winter descends, with the little flower joining the rest.

With a giggle, you say, "Quick Pixie, your arrow always strikes true, pray shoot slumber on our foes."

Anita reaches up and shakes a branch of the tree gently, letting petals and full blossoms fall down upon everyone.

Xiran gives a trillingly melodic laugh.

Plucking a pale pink flower, Silver Font, Xiran L'Eternae, of Wilder Winter says, "Gentle Nymph, where violence is not your way, calm aggressive spirits and show them peace."

Holding a cherry blossom carefully in her palms, you say, "Loving Mother, we thank you for your benevolence, Your love is the healing touch for us all."

Anita kneels down and places the cherry blossom carefully on the ground, and stands back up again.

Retrieving a wilting blossom from the tree above, Silver Font, Xiran L'Eternae, of Wilder Winter says, "Dark Banshee, mournful as you glide, may your sadness affect those who know not of your pain."

Silver Font, Xiran L'Eternae, of Wilder Winter gently lays the flower among the others.

With a thoughtful look, you say, "Curious Willowisp, your bells draw us to your light, We thank you for bringing us closer together."

Anita watches and smiles as petals fall through her fingers.

Solemnly, Silver Font, Xiran L'Eternae, of Wilder Winter says, "Withered Crone, you know the soul of our nemeses. Treat them with your wisdom of the dark ancients."

Silver Font, Xiran L'Eternae, of Wilder Winter darts through the tree, sending down a nearly blinding flurry of petals.

Sondayga Zayah, Heir of Ellindel laughing, holds a hand up to block the petals from falling in his eyes.

You say, "Wise Pooka, you know us all through the mind, Control the unwilling evils to bend to the truth."

Anita puts several cherry blossoms on the ground among the others.

Patchou the Moon Cat prowls around the room, then sits back down and resumes grooming herself.

Nolan, the Lunar Hare hops around the piles of petals on the ground playfuly.

Xiran's eyes sparkle with amusement at Nolan, the Lunar Hare.

Throwing up many petals in the air, you say, "We thank you, O Fae, for your kind loyalty, May we live together in Ethereal Harmony."

Sunlight bellows across the realm, revealing the full glory of the majestic sun's luminous presence as he climbs higher into the sky.

You perform a graceful curtsey.

Sondayga Zayah, Heir of Ellindel says, "Blessed be!"

Giggling, Silver Font, Xiran L'Eternae, of Wilder Winter says, "Blessed be the Fae!"

You smile and say, "Blessed be!"

Oh no, it's Kialkarkea Faeslayer, Abomination to Moon! (Can we actually do that with titles? Must try.)

On topic: I like this, though. It's simple, but it conveys what it should very well. The only advice I have for you is to see if you can't sneak a bard into some of your rituals and have them use some illusions. The emoting and use of custom says are good as they are, but illusions give you options for acting beyond "Anita emotes this" or "Anita does that". Also, color!

Very nice, simple yet well written. Thank you for sharing. smile.gif

Yeah, what really gives the rituals in the compendium that extra edge is little emotes and say () that really help shape out the ritual, and don't take that long to come up with either.

Good job.

Nicely done!
