Soo... I just got my hands on the new book of George RR Martin's Song of Ice and Fire series... a Dance with Dragons! For those of you reading the series, what do you think so far? biggrin.gif

Well, I just got the book on my Kindle but I only just started reading A Feast For Crows, as I only got the series this spring. So I'll probably get to reading it later this month.

Did a marathon viewing of the HBO series on Friday night/Saturday morning.

Got it today.

I'll be done in a week.

I loved the show. I heard the books are amazing, so I'll probably start reading them soon. Are they all available on the Kindle?
Unknown2011-07-12 16:17:44
Yes, they are all out for Kindle at Amazon.com, even A Dance with Dragons, although because that book has just been released, you'll end up paying the full Hardcover price for that one.

ETA: Actually, the Kindle version is cheaper than the hardcover.

Unless one of the chapters named with titles instead of names happens to be Sam, there is no Sam in Dance. I think GRRM posted on his Not A Blog that the Samwell chapters got moved to Winds.

It's out?! ohmy.gif

It's finally out?! ohmy.gif

EDIT: This is a very interesting double post, but somehow, it still makes sense. smile.gif

Disappointed.

Waited 6 years for that, 4 years for AFFC, GRRM will croak by the time it's finished, unfortunately.

Still pretty disappointed in the book, hopefully the six book in five years will answer a question or two more.
Ileein2011-07-13 18:28:27
After six years you'd be disappointed with A Comprehensive History of Westeros, Essos, and Everything Else, Including In-Depth Backstories of Every Single Targaryen, the Anatomy and Breeding of Dragons, and an Explanation of Just What the Hell is Up with Asshai, admit it.

I didn't know it was out!!
I wonder if my Library has it already
Unknown2011-07-13 19:07:13
For me, this is totally fresh, as I have not read it until this Spring. (And I don't have HBO). So "what long wait". tongue.gif

(I used to wonder why people asked me about "House Tully" when I started that character).

Just got to my second out loud gasp. Loving this!
Druken2011-07-13 20:08:29
I need to check this series out. You all make it sound so great! What's the title of the first book?
