so I was wondering if anyone had a list of historical families that have not been used yet that might help for some interesting RP.

It might be easier to ask which families have been made, rather than which haven't laugh.gif

well I was hoping people would just throw out random families instead of actually giving me a full list(should have worded it differently)
Ssaliss2011-01-18 18:35:17
I know that most old Mag families have been made (d'Murani, n'Kylbar, etc). No clue about the rest.
Diamondais2011-01-18 18:40:36
Stormcrow and Nightshade have been made, but fairly certain the rest of Glomdorings known families are still available (can't check the names).

Don't believe any Seren related families have been made.

Gaudiguch hasn't any of them, last I knew, though there were the occasional "claims" through the years.

No idea regarding Hallifax.

Not entirely certain about Celest either, come to think about it.
Rika2011-01-18 18:46:56
Celest have Shervalian and Inalai.

Serenwilde haven't got any.

Gaudiguch haven't got any.

Hallifax have Shevat.

Pretty sure Inseira in Glomdoring is historical.

That got added in later, well after the family was made. tongue.gif

Edit:

Don't confuse what I'm saying, it's a very important family to modern Glomdoring, as well as Ysa'vrai (god I probably butchered that spelling)

Oh! Thanks for clearing that up. happy.gif

Not too bad; it's Ysav'rai.

I haven't ever done the Dell quest or anything, but I seem to recall some admin-type saying that the canon it established made making a historical Seren family a lot harder.
Llesvelt2011-01-18 19:52:03
Shevat is a Hallifaxian Historical Family yeah.

That leaves...

Silverplume, Goldfeather, Windwhisper, Skysoarer, Cloudwalker, Adom.

Also, maybe (but I am unsure if they would classify as "Historical Families", but they are prominent) Sunfar, Oolin, Lars, Eepex, Ebonwing, Ironwing.

Perhaps some more that I missed.

I think also the fact that a majority of the serenwilde history revolves around the centaur race makes it hard for people to also take on a centaur family since sentaurs are not a playable race.

I don't see that as a hinderance myself. After all, Faeling and Trill parents can give birth to an Orclash, so the whole "racial" aspect is rather loose.

Actually, there are a number of Seren historical families that we could draw from.

Treeheart, Oakvine, Moonblade, Lunseer, etc.

I never really liked that about IRE games. Unless you are adopted you should be the same race as one of your parents. The only way I see an Orclach being a child to a faeling and trill is if he was adopted. I have noticed that many people strict about their RP make sure that their children are a certain race.

I was trying to pick my brain for the various non-centaur names, but you got there first!

I think Glinshari's and Ellindel's families would be the hardest to ever make as an Historical, the Dell quest has some on that as Lendren mentioned, but so long as you case is present well, it's possibility, no matter how small.

With daggers of reincarnation and the cameo of the changeling, races are a very loose concept in all IRE games. I'm not that fond of it, but that's how it is, so you might as well roll with it.

would still be cool if we could play as centaurs
