So I've got a Mac (save your ridicule and 'Windows is better' arguments please), and obviously Nexus is a poor choice for a client (found that out about....five years ago). Anyways, I've got Parallels but don't really want to run MUSH through my Windows side, so I've re-settled on a client I used for a few months before I stopped playing a year and a half ago, Atlantis. It was a beta that basically stopped being developed, but it really is quite nice.

Just wondering if anybody else uses Atlantis and could help me with some of the basics, like hotkeys with targetting system and whatnot. Eventually I'd like to get a small system together but for now I'll just enjoy the Ascension. So...anyone?

Have you considered mudlet?

http://www.mudlet.org/download/

It has a full blown system for sale by Vadi (60 cr), and a lot of players use this system and client now, so you're sure to find help and little scripts here and there.

Agreed. From a full-blown MacBook user who has attempted to try every known Mac-based Mud system (and even ran a few on Wine)... Mudlet is the way to go. Any other option will lead you to frustration and back to Mudlet.

Ah yes, I scoured the internet for a client back in the day, I think when this one was in early development. This is great! Thanks! Case closed. smile.gif

Glad you like the client. Just to reiterate, though. For the Mac, you really have only two choices; the first (and best) being Mudlet and the second (because of its awesome scripting) is Rapscallion. You won't go wrong with Mudlet, though. It is simply pure awesomeness.

I don't believe macro-based scripting languages are made for humans.

Tinyfugue did have one advantage in that you could SSH into the computer running it from anyone's computer running PuTTY with no setup required whatsoever and have your existing system in place, effectively running the at latency of your home computer.

That sounds amazingly awesome...
