GMCP ideas

I figured the old thread was getting... well, old (and not really for ideas), so I started a new one only for ideas! If you have any, jot'em down here.

So, to start with mine:

Currently, the Comm-package doesn't include shipt, squadt or say. I propose all three are added, with the exception (as always) that mob-says aren't included. They aren't included in the rest of the messages, and with guards, it'd simply be too spammy.

Non-demis get their XP in the vitals, which is great. It is only the whole percentages though (i.e. 35% as opposed to 35.72%). My suggestion is two-fold, really; one, make them get all four digits of XP (expanding NL to xxxx/10000 as opposed to xx/100). Secondly, make demis able to get their essence in the vitals.

When it comes to maps, have it show both sets of coordinates; it currently only sends the coords of the room as it appears on the GIF (with 0:0 being the top left corner). Having it also send the in-game coords would help a lot when it comes to meshing the two maps.

Yeah, it'd be nice to have the temporary channels pop up: squad, ship, mindlink. Forget what else. All I can think of for now.

Pipe dream, but, I really wish GMCP sent the status of the various curative balances and beast balance.

It would make life so much easier.

Yeah, pretty much, but it already sends things that nerf illusions quite a bit if you use them correctly.

To be honest, I really think GMCP does its job pretty well... the only serious suggestion I'd have that would be useful - even though it may not be feasible - is somehow communicating enchantment levels, either as a specific call or after a use.

Edit: Oh, adding beast stats would be great, too.

What things nerf illusions? Been looking through the list a few times, and I can't think of anything major... Sure, the rift could be illusioned, but I don't see that as a big nerf to illusions.

I don't suppose why not if a bug is submitted so we can track it.
