I found out that we can make custom voices with our emotes. Now I want to make my own! But... what does Winnae sound like? Maybe people can help, and this might even be a thread people would be interested in having around for what their characters sound like.

We can make custom voices? Anyhoo. From the times I've dealt with Winnae on my Ur'Guard, his voice has come across as kinda growly and gruff.

Just say 'Oh bother' often. The sound will come to you.

I figure fairly prim and proper. Light tenor, not too deep, not much gravel.

Ongaku: Growling and gruff tenor, maybe even close to an alto. >.>

Lucan: Deep, snarling, possibly somewhat unpleasant to listen to, baritone to bass.

I think that what is being referenced is SAY (in a voice that sounds eerily like Barney's) Hello, children!

Winnae sounds like Winnie-the-Pooh.

Either that or this.

As for Winnae's voice, I've always been reminded of Crunch/Smash the ogre from the Xanth series (whichever one spoke in the rhyming couplets), who speaks in a bit of a lulling rhythm, ascending and descending a few tones with each punching word.

Now that he's working at improving his vocal ability, his voice is just a high male voice set on super low volume so that people can't hear him very well and thus can't suspect him of being male.

I've always imagined Winnae's voice to be overly-confident in everything he says, in sort of a goofy, articulated tone. The kind of voice that makes people chuckle and say, "Wow, is he serious? Hahaha... oh... oh crap, he is serious... umm.... RUN!!"

I was reminded of Thog from Order of the Stick.

Nah, Winnae is too articulate to be Thog. Unless Winnae starts screaming POWER ATTACK before every attack .

Incabulos = fairly monotonous, gravelly low-baritone.

Think Death from the Discworld series, but perhaps a bit higher.

I think basically what Everiine said. XD Ongaku knows Winnae's always totally serious though (but they've got that awesome Tae'dae-Furrikin synergy goin' on ).

Xavius would sound like an edgy Spock (who looks like Stalin and has an icy stare). Haven't considered that for alt du jour.
