Decide to go snooping around faethorn in dreambody because I was bored, had only been asleep for like 30 seconds maybe. And yeah, need to fix time stamp to show up in dreambody too, but between the group entering and me dieing is just a few seconds. ):

Pwnt. ):

I don't have the log of it, but last night when they were raiding avatars, getting isnta-killed by group zap when I was sitting at 6200 heath with a truefavour was pretty depressing.

EDIT: In case you don't know, I can't see what happens to my physical body while I'm in dreambody, that's why I don't have any of the actual zaps. <<

Are zaps meant to be the backbone of group combat these days?

Zaps are the new rage coven, yes. Only with less waiting on a full moon and no class restriction.
Unknown2009-10-03 23:49:51
Yeah they hurt, should have gotten someone to salt you!

I don't think zaps are the backbone of group combat quite yet, they're mostly used to snipe at people sitting at the nexus with guards, etc.

Sniping, yeah. It still feels like an unintended consequence of the gradually increasing number of demi-gods. I really doubt zap was ever intended to be used for instantly ganking high-level combatants. I know I'm not the tankest guy out there, but it's still getting ridiculous.

PS: It was not instant (though that is not to say it could have been). There were a few seconds between the first and last, and if you had been in your body you'd have had time to sip / sparkle / shield (thus, no dying).

I was referring to last night, not the above log, sorry. There was barely even time sip, and I really regret that I wasn't logging. ):

Maybe one of you has a log showing when zaps started and my deathsight?

No, but Liveforest went up the moment we entered and that slowed things down a bit.

I had a mental image of a Glom holding a stick with a scope on it, sighting Lehki.

Uuuuh, not a log of zapping my sleeping body, I mean while you were killing the avatars last night.

Really though I was being clearer in that post... not that time, Gregori, when they blew me up during the Avatar raid.

Hunh.

It certainly felt longer than that. ohmy.gif

Thanks. (Though that's still enough time to sip/sparkle, with triggers)

I know which one you meant tongue.gif I was just posting this one cause the time was being discussed and besides your PoV didn't have all the zaps in it tongue.gif

Regardless of whether zap is the "backbone of combat" these days...

You went dreamweaving and left your body unprotected. You didn't even bother to have someone salt you. Kind of deserved what you got.

I'm not saying I was unfairly killed there, I certainly wasn't except 6 demi-gods jump in and zap me, but meh. I'm annoyed about instantly dieing with no warning to group zap during the avatar raid, which I sadly didn't have logged. Even after that death, when I came back and you guys had the zaps less coordinated and were just spamming, I could barely keep up with the damage with medicine bag and stag healing whenever I dropped shield for a second.

Yeah, I got insta zapped when I would be on astral a couple times and even in Etherglom once. It sucks.

I think I mentioned zap immunity, like stun immunity, a while back but no one seemed interested. sad.gif

complaints like these make me wonder how dragoncraft works in achaea.

i.e take away all of the nice little demigod things and make them choose to fight as either their mortal self or shed their mortal shells to fight as a demigod with a unique skill (maybe some variance along the lines of... I am a scholar/creator/spirit/warrior demi). No particular reason though I'd be interested to see what would happen to these raids if you had to choose between your guild skills and your demigod power, of course if branching it could be interesting to see the ways you could destroy their essence reserves.
A "warrior" demigod could have abilities that imbue their weapons and armor with divine properties that a mortal could not wield, it could be interesting to see say... Lendren (no offense) become an intimidating armoured up sword wielding being of rage possibly offering an ability to play as two separate classes which honestly as a druid I would like as an option so that when I'm not holding down a meld I can do something else.

I ramble... back to the other 20 windows I have open right now
