This is a commission from Golgothura's player. Actually, this is full of a lot of first. First time drawing a kephera. First time coloring without incorporating a sketch or inked lines. First time coloring planets! First time creating a chatoyant effect, which you can see I finished adding to the mandibles and began adding to the head.

I wasn't sure if you like the green I chose or if you would rather I turn that gray. Which would you prefer?

You can't go wrong with color!
The green is kind of interesting. It gives her a strange, phantasmic night-vision feel. (At least, for me anyway.)

Then I'll keep the green. It makes it more interesting anyway.

Added more to it! Here you can see the rough pose, and that I started working on the chest. I didn't get much done today, unfortunately. This is only ~30 minutes of work.

Is that good or bad?

Well, that depends entirely on how hard you're going to rock this purple I'm seeing.

...and I can't help but be curious about this pose. Did she pick a booger? (Is she going to eat it??? !)

It seems to be more of a "BEHOLD!!!!" type pose.

And update on Golgothura. I don't have much to say, except that I'm avoiding her chest until I have nothing else to paint.

her eyes look like skittles. this is delicious.

i really like how you're putting the lighter colours on top of a dark base. that's my favourite way to do digital stuff, it looks very multidimensional. Also, make sure her eyes (because they look so shiny) are reflecting the colours around them, like the blue on her cheek. Maybe with little zips of bright green where the glowy veiny stuff is lined up to, along the contour of the eye.

Hot damn, the robe is amazing.

Feel free to make her flat-chested if you're unsure about that... like pectoral plates. No mammaries needed.
