I've decided to take Lusternia a bit more seriously, financially anyhow, what prices am I looking at for decent artifacts for hunting, and what is the usual hours of play to get to Titan-Demigod

And then, what artifacts-runes am I looking at for PvP, even through the nerfings, I plan on staying monk.

Suggestions, advice.

Great Rune of Absorption, 15 percent change to absorb any physical hit you might take, useful for hunting and pvp, and it makes a jewelry item never decay. Very useful.

Well, there's all different sorts of serious. Hunting is pretty easy already - especially as a monk, but relevant arties:

1. Rune of Absorption - Very useful. One of the first I would get for hunting. 500 credits.
2. Life rune - Some argue about how great this is. Health is health, and we're listing all options. 350 - 1400 credits.
3. Critical hit rune - Most say they're not incredibly useful until higher levels. Only good for hunting as you don't crit players. 200 - 1200 credits.

Some people will also list regen runes and maybe willpower rune, I suppose. I don't really see how much advantage they're adding. Monks just don't have that much trouble with hunting, plus you're Tahtetso, so you probably have crazy regen anyhow.

I let someone else comment on the specifics of PvP runes, as I don't do that much. If we're talking dreams, it's going to involve well over 1200 credits.

These are generally useful for a bunch of things:

1. A cubix - Huge investment, but you have all the time access to all of Astral, Cosmic, Elemental, Ethereal, and some prime locations. Makes solo hunting as a monk easier for getting around. Makes PvP escaping easier, or getting somewhere to defend. But, as stated, huge investment. There are certainly more high priority arties. 2000 credits.
2. Gem of Cloaking - Nice for getting jumped less. Also, if you have aethersight, you'll see them scrying beforehand to get a bearing on you, so it's a bit of a warning. This is ruined by things like scent and such, but you can't have it all. 400 credits.
3. If you combine gem + aethersight + Spectacles of Clairvoyance + a proper enemies list, then you're one aware dude. 500 credits.

Can't we all just get along? sad.gif

But yeah, I recommend Absorption first thing as well. It's the best credit investment artifact that exists, in my opinion.

Hm, well, how much are credits? Like, 5 dollars for 50 credits?
-isnt familiar with prices-

Prices are at http://www.lusternia.com/credits.php. They vary; buying credits in bulk is cheaper. 40 credits (the closest to 50) is $19.99 US.

I <3 my rune of absorption. I <3 even more my RoA and my bodyguarding beast.
Unknown2009-08-14 13:59:54
Yeah, thanks. I forgot to mention getting a beast with bodyguard. Both together are delicious.

... and what is the usual hours of play to get to Titan-Demigod

My Titan: Played : 48 days, 23 hours, and 6 minutes
My Demigod: Played : 60 days, 19 hours, and 57 minutes

No idea what's "usual".

You can probably get from titan to demigod with no more than a month of good bashing. I'm relatively positive 99 to 100 in Aetolia is the same as here, and I know someone bashed nonstop, with bashing artis, and got it in like a week.

Definitely RoA. I wouldn't worry about regen runes for health. I know Tahtetso get crazy regen on either ego, health, or mana (yay Harmony), enough to make regen runes not needed, unless you spread your chants around and don't get make regeneration. Crit runes help out at any level where the chance is over 15%, in my opinion.

I as well am getting a ton more serious about Lusternia and tossing just oodles of money into it.

I am planning on getting:

two of the highest stats modifying runes.

two of the critical hit runes

two of the electrical damage (or some other damage) runes

I believe those can all be fit with a fellow with a two-handed tahto

Then I will be going next for absorption rune, this way when I'm hunting with my level 4 bashing (which is already insanely fast) I will be criticallying the crap outta stuff and it only gets better from where I am now.

Not to mention my tahto will be beyond max speed, damage and precision of a forged one.

It would totally own if you could add wounding runes, but I understand the balance issue there, we already can wound incredibly, that would be like an instant win button.
Casilu2009-08-15 01:15:50
Why would you need two critical hit runes?
Unknown2009-08-15 01:30:56
I think he meant two bleeding runes. Everyone knows you only get one critical hit rune. I mean, c'mon.

Actually I did think you could get two, damn my luck.

It would be killer if you could have two though.

Can't get two, but you can get a LEVEL 2 tongue.gif

The level three critical hit rune kicks the level two critical hit rune's ass.
Kyoko2009-08-16 04:17:24
O_o

...

I'm going to be the most cheap person in Lusty as a Demigod.. And get assimalated by some lvl 20 credit whore with like, 50 crit runes and some sorta invincibility rune on them... On 14 different peices of armor... paid by with credits... dry.gif

DAMN YOU RICHTER!!!
-shakefist-
Unknown2009-08-16 04:49:25
Silly Kyoko, Richter doesn't fight, he hires people to kill you.
Kyoko2009-08-16 04:53:23

Does he pay in artifacts? I only ask because I'm totally not doing anything right now....
