It's really hard not to cry "nerf moks" sometimes. But any advice as to how to stop them is appreciated.

First thing you did wrong.

You fought a monk.

In fact... that's the second and third thing too.

First, you let him truss you. When a stealth monk suddenly leaves the room, it's so they can truss you.

Second, are you using venoms other than calcise? I didn't read the whole thing but doesn't look like it.

Third, you saw him building momentum and didn't run away.

And what? I've never seen a Nekotai prone off of stance before. That's freaking stupid, how easy do you have to make it for them?

Yes, nekotai prone off of stance sometimes.

Yes, I use other venoms. I try and work in mantakaya, dulak, and calcise mostly.

And why should I have to RUN AWAY FROM SOMEONE TO WIN? Generally, I don't know the point when I'm supposed to just run away. Not to mention, it's made difficult by almost instantaneous crippling afflictions.

Sorry, "prone off-stance"? What is this?

Basically Vhaas, Nekotai get an ability that if you hit stance, it has a chance to knock you prone. Which means, I have to expend even more power to get past stancing with sweep.

The bigger issue I see is that they get one free round where they don't have to worry about stance/parry.

Not that it's going to win you this fight, but you did have a lot of burst vessels. Should be eating sparkleberry.

I have no sparkleberry. I should get some, but it's a pain in the ass to find.

It looks like right after I hit the severspine, I grappled and threw you, which mangled your leg and you applied mending, which would be the cure, if I hadn't severspined, which gave me the prone requirement for mangle.




It looks like it took a bit to try and cure that and then because you were prone from the first mangle, I got the second mangle. Also, I didn't see you curing any burst vessels, Those cause the ridiculous amount of bleeding and they were just stacking. I didn't see you eating any sparkle berries, so you may be able to use them to cure the burst vessels, which would reduce bleeding. A smaller note, a puncturedlung got through to, which would have drained your endurance eventually.

Anyway, those are a few things that would have helped you out. Not trying to disagree that monks are OP, just giving suggestions of some things that would have made a difference

Fighting a monk is like fighting a lawnmower laying on it's side. If you grab it when it's slow, the blades can be stopped. If you give it time to build up speed, it cuts off your hand. Walk away, let it slow down a bit, and sooner or later, it is safe to grab again.

I can guarentee you that if you had walked away for a bit, his momentum would have dropped and he wouldn't have killed you as easily.

You fought a monk, period.

That was the problem.


As far as other suggestions go, run when you have to. You have no choice against a Monk right now. You lack the passive offense of a Wiccan/Guardian/Druid to effectively hinder their momentum. You do, however, have Knockdown. Knockdown is extremely effective against Monks as stun hinders their momentum.

Also, get Sparkleberry. Fighting BurstVessels without them = death.

And yes, Nekotai have a chance of proning if you attack their stance.

Actually you got retardedly lucky it didn't end there at the very beginning when he severspined you and tried to slit your throat but natural miss rate (4%) caused him to whiff it.

Use mantakaya not calcise unless you're a demigod capable of greenlock on double sweep with calcise/senso sweep leg/sweep head inside the stun. Otherwise just pile up the mantakaya.

When you hit stance against a Nekotai, you are proned. Not a 'chance'.

I've known for a while that I had troubles with Nekotai curing, but I've only recently fixed a couple of those issues, and I'm now able to fix a few more from this log alone. So, thanks for that!
