It's ok. Some of the older players have bothered to get to know my character, rather than have the myths and exaggerations speak for me. I find the general hostility towards wealth amusing.

Hmm, nobody wants me as an Ascended god.

Hypothetically, if I did ascend, I can't see myself changing personality too much. Although there are a few directions I could go.

I could start trying to "clean the cosmos", with funny misadventures as I learn how to understand my powers.

Tully's always been a hedge guru and a tinkerer, so I could try to have a lot of fun with experiments, which could also cause misadventures.

I'd definitely be good with good-hearted novices and try to help them...in this way I'd kind of would emulate Isune. I'd definitely use my status as god to help with the types of things I've tried to organize in the past.

If I needed an excuse for a personality change, in a fit of Hubris I could delcare war on "Ye Damn Squid", then get my ass kicked by him, and maybe like ol' Tzar---- a while back get some permanent change. No, I don't predict a "Tainted Tully" or "Evil Tully", but I could see his effect on me in other areas. Perhaps I become addleminded, and act more like the archtypical absent-minded professor ("oops, I forget there are people in the basin"), or have fits of depression (and maybe when he's depressed bad things happen to the basin), or become a "bad luck weirdness magnet".

BTW--Since Corinthian posted his pic, Dr. Manhattan is a very good example of what could happen to a mortal who becomes a god.

In my opinion, Richter has already done huuuge amounts for this game without being a god. He put out his own real world cash to build an addition to the world that is for the players, by the players. That is impressive, and the generosity of it (the player, not the character) is why I think Richter would make an incredible god.
