One Lusternia skill in real life

Back to The Polling Place.

You're in your grandfather's attic and there's a weird old bottle. When you break the seal, a mini-Estarra pops out and offers to give you one, and only one, skill from Lusternia. Skills, not skillsets, and you only get one, so any skill that depends on other ones (for instance, Transmigrate) is right out. Which would you choose?

There's so many to choose from, so if you want one not listed, just post and we'll get it added to the poll.

For vitae, assume you can buy all the herbs at the supermarket or from Penzey's. (Turns out that faeleaf is cilantro, merbloom is sushi nori, and sparkleberry is mace, say.)

For thirdeye, assume the equivalent of WHO is looking at a phone book or name list of some sort. Or just imagine Scry or Window instead; they're all the same for the purposes of this poll.

Does Illusions include improved ones?

Oh, and you should put Invisibility in there.
Gwylifar2006-11-26 19:45:19
Whatever is the best single one that doesn't cost power.
Aiakon2006-11-26 19:46:35
Invisibility is an illusion. So I chose illusions.
Gwylifar2006-11-26 19:48:21
I think Invisibility is a separate skill from Illusions or Improved, so it's one or the other. Someone add Invisibility to the poll, please? (Is it a power feat? If not, there's a Highmagic one that isn't, right?)

Invisibility in Illusions, Yesod in Highmagic.

Neither Invisibility (Illusions) or Yesod (Highmagic) Cost power. Only difference is that Yesod can be turned off, and it last for less time. EQ time mght be different...

I chose vitae and timeslip.

= Invincible/Immortal

I win o-o
Zalandrus2006-11-26 20:10:02
Teleport and timeslip.

Although, for teleport, you'd still -need- somebody at where you want to go, since I doubt mini-Estarra would grant you nexuses to play with too tongue.gif . So, if the whole world has teleport, would anybody want to be the one to actually go there first? Hm...
Unknown2006-11-26 20:28:20
How would timeslip work in the real world? It would be neat if I could use it to get a glance at the future and know the exam questions ahead of time. Or how that job interview would go... the list goes on. sleep.gif
Ekard2006-11-26 20:40:43
GO HEAVENS tongue.gif

or Invisibility! biggrin.gif
Ildaudid2006-11-26 21:59:11
Teleport and Illusions FTW

Walk into a bank invisible, rob them blind, cast illusions to make them think the gold is still there and then teleport out with it
Gwylifar2006-11-26 22:34:25
No, it's not a Chinese menu, you don't get both! It's two separate questions. Also, Invisibility and Illusions are two separate skills. (I imagine if you're clever though you could fake invisibility with illusions for bank-robbing purposes -- just illusion yourself disappearing or something.)

Chinese menu FTW

But no illusions is invisibility... weave invisibility

And I would choose illusions I guess if I had to choose since it is a whole skill set, I mean weave phantom, weave manse, weave invisibility, weave wounds... That would be nice
Unknown2006-11-27 08:09:21
Ildaudid, he means the actual skill of making people see things, called Illusions, in the skillset, which also happens to be called Illusions.
Shorlen2006-11-27 08:27:48
Trueheal, just so I would never have to sleep dry.gif

Or Waterwalk, so I could REALLY make people think I was Jesus (I look a lot like popular depictions of him) biggrin.gif

Teleport would be awesome too, but it doesn't help my anorexia, malnutrition, or inability to stay awake more than eight hours at a time. Plus, the prismatic barrier would be nice if I ever did join the army dry.gif

I'm sorry to ruin your day, Ytraelux. But the 'actual skill of making people see things' is called "Illusion". The skillset is called "Illusions". Thus, as it says 'Illusions" in the poll, I am going to continue to claim invisibility, and blur, and illusory manses, and turning myself into a rock/statue.
Gwylifar2006-11-27 14:13:21
Can someone fix the poll, then? Also, can someone fix Aiakon?

You mean, fix, like a cat?
