So, I saw some address on totem street, it had DOC (abbv. for document), and I was like, heh, screwed! Then though... I'm at work. I such a freakin nerd.

I always see stuff like this. Anyone else have things that remind of you the game irl?

I was reading Chinua Achebe's "Things Fall Apart" for my Euro Lit class and it mentioned Kola in it. Also anytime any herb is mentioned, like Echinacea, I am reminded of Achaea. Okay I know you said Lusternia, but nothing I've seen reminds me of it.

I'm also reading The Iliad and The Odyssey in Euro Lit now, which is loaded with Achaea stuff (well, I guess I should say Achaea is loaded with Greek stuff).

Repeated, because according to my browser my post didn't want to sit down, shut up and behave itself, so sorry if this DOES repeat.

The full moon.

(Yes, I AM that stupid.)

Whever I see marjoram, I automatically think "rigormortis".

I've seen a few roads with names from IRE games, like Medina Cresent (the Medina in Shallam), I go by it every day on the way to work.

The thing that always reminders me of Achaea is myrrh, but also anything I see which is an Achaean affliction (like recklessness or haemophilia), that does too.

Whenever I see DOC on these forums, that reminds me of the Department of Conservation (an environment-department thing in New Zealand).

Myrrh always reminds me of Life of Brian.
"don't bring so much myrrh next time"

What scared me was the Mostyn street in Winnipeg.

I see the name Hallifax EVERY SINGLE DAY, I SWEAR.
In a different context every time... theres gotta be like 10000 cities called hallifax.

Yes, but the real trick is finding 10000 Gaudiguches.

Heh... yeah, that't be interesting.
Nementh2004-12-16 03:07:30
Well Myrrh always reminded me of that one Southpark Episode... (The one were Kenny forms a Christan Rock Band.)

And normally, I look at a name or word in Achaea/Aetolia/Imperian/Lusternia, and go 'Hmm... when did that war/building/leader happen/get built/rise to power?'
Iridiel2004-12-21 17:11:31
I have some kind of weird association between myrrh and cigarrettes. I was always trying to "Smoke myrrh" on Achaea/Imperian, even if I knew perfectly I needed to eat it.
Hiriako2004-12-21 18:12:38
My daughter in Aetolia always smoke Myrrh for some reason. *peers at her here, wondering if she'll see this*
Silvanus2004-12-21 19:47:00
I have something in my pantry that says..

Marjoram!

For all your Herbal needs.

I was like.. "hey, uh, when'd we get this, did it come out of the computer?" (Not really, but would've been amusing)
Richter2004-12-21 22:27:12
A guy came in yesterday, said his title was too long, so they called him the IC. (in charge) Then he started going on about how we all had a role to play... I actually laughed. He probably thought I was a nut or I sneezed.

Yes, I see it. Unless you had another daughter who smoked myrrh?

On a more on-topic note, there's certain songs that remind me of Lusternia. "Floating Continent" (Final Fantasy 3/6) for the Astral Plane, for example, or "Magic House' from the same game for Stewartsville (which I haven't been in for forever, yet the piece just fits).

So it's mostly music. A few other things which I can't quite remember right now remind me of either Aetolia or Lusternia.
Hiriako2004-12-22 19:01:53
Nope, you were it.
