If you get afflicted with anorexia, you must smoke coltsfoot to cure it.
If you get afflicted with asthma, you must drink melancholic to cure it.
If you get afflicted with asthma and anorexia, you are dead (unless you have darkcall syphon, but that's beside the point).

What happened to applying something to cure asthma, and needing slickness as the third leg of the lock?

That sounds like something from another world you're talking about. The nice thing about different worlds is that they're different.

Yes. However, it's much much much too easy to afflict with anorexia+asthma (two barbetail stings, for example), and if someone can't syphon or fitness it off, they're screwed. This is a balance issue.

While I take your point, there's also "cure me neurosis" and "cure me melancholic".

True, but that's not helpful for the total balance issue wink.gif

I admit, I don't know much about fighting in here, so I'll just ask

I've been under the impression that every guild has been formed on a large part, to be able to act without potions. (It's given to one commune, only two guilds, and requires power from the commune to do so).

This was why herbs were made available universally, to allow others to harvest them

So, everyone needs herbs

But does every need potions?

Just my thoughts, I'm not clear on the combat.

Yeah, who needs these stupid health elixirs to bash? High skill in Discipline or something can allevate (spelling?) need for elixirs and salves, but never eliminate it unless you have Healing (and even then they could be useful in the middle of intense combat). Potions ARE everybody's need, and single side of conflict has monopoly on them. mad.gif

You can get out of an Lock quite easily and it goes back to answer someone's "Do you need potions" question as well: Allheale....it does wonders.
Shamarah2004-11-08 21:17:55
Uhh, Mages don't have any affliction-healing abilities. Unless you count sweetfount, but that's slow, unreliable, and costs power.
Unknown2004-11-08 21:19:16
allheale is the best....
Daganev2004-11-09 02:47:13
allheale sucks if your anorexic.

and the only time I use health elixirs while "bashing" is when I'm going after the tough stuff. of course I'm a tae'dae but if there are less than 2 paladins or spectres in a room I am perfectly happy with Puella.

Allheale does wonders... when you aren't in an anorexia+asthma lock.

Heh.. I love that potion. It's grand.
