Um, yeah, waves to all the rest of you Brits too. biggrin.gif But, eh, it'd be nice to get to know a couple of you in the region sometime. I live in Sleaford, if y'all know where that is, so you could just drop me a message on Lusternia or whatever. Except you, Chaz, I know you, so don't bother like you did last time tongue.gif *mutter*
PS. Anyone within about an hour's drive of Lincoln's good too *inno*
Alef2004-10-27 17:02:39
Wowy I'm from Lincolnshire too, and very near to Sleaford.

Nice to know other people play from Licolnshire.
Unknown2004-10-27 17:15:19
Well you know I'm from England as well Shiri... but it's not to see other Brit's around too. More games need to have them... every game I play online seems to have no-one from this country in it.
Shiri2004-10-27 18:23:40
We do, yeah, but I have difficulty meeting anyone from outside of Lincolnshire. *mumbles*
Yepela2004-10-28 12:03:02
Nobody wants to live in Lincolnshire... they all want to live in the sunny southeast of England! The Thames Estuary! The flatness of Kent! Southend pier! Kinda close proximity to London! Really common accents! You'll all be flocking down here now ...right?
Shiri2004-10-28 12:27:51
Lincolnshire's supposed to be all picturesque and stuff though. Even though it's really not 'cause it's just flat. And full of turnips and...other...farmery things. Still, least we have more normal accents than down South, Yepela. *hum*

Pfft, we can do picturesque; we have a few trees and fields, the odd castle. And as for accents, well. That is a matter of opinion. Wud'ja want t'torlk loike this, or like to'ally normal like us, like, down 'ere in the, like, south, like.

Okay, maybe I exaggerated a little.
Ialie2004-10-28 12:51:09
When I think Lincolnshire I think ... hobbits..

Gah! We have tonnes of Shires here, why is it Lincolnshire that gets singled out? tongue.gif What about Yorkshire, Nottinghamshire, Peterborough...shire..okay maybe not that one, but we have lots. And it's not as though ours is the most farmery one either. You do know our shires were named BEFORE that hobbit, right? *g*

Oh, and Yepela...I'm sure as much as you'd like to think it is, that wasn't an exaggeration. wink.gif

I'll assume you're referring to my portrayal of your accent rather than my own. *hum*
Shiri2004-10-28 13:25:30
Wait, that's supposed to be us? Pff!! Maybe that's SOMEWHERE near to how Shiri sounds, but he's not representative of the rest of us, or even me, and you know it *tickle*
Yepela2004-10-29 13:26:32
Come now, it's common knowledge that everyone in Lincolnshire sounds like a farmer (well, to us southerners anyway).
Shiri2004-10-29 14:05:51
Pfff, you probably never even HEARD of Lincolnshire. You just decided we're farmery cause we end in "shire" and you're all hobbit obsessed weirdos. That goes for you too America! >_<

Wait, you're a hobbit?
Unknown2004-10-29 14:27:46
Pickin on the Americans now are ye? I have never heard either of your accents but I head this chap from crockney once... now that was funny sounding to me. No I'm not from Europe, I'm from The States, but I am studying in Thailand now...maybe someone is from Thailand! Ooo...

Nooo, but everyone seems to think I am 'cause I live in a place that ends with "shire." *peer Rilandria, Yepela, Ialie and others*

I'm English. The Midlands.

I never accused you of being a hobbit! Though, now you mention it...

I'm sure you did. I just can't remember exactly when it was. *cough* Oh, and by the way, I'm taller than you, just in case you forgot that *g*
Unknown2004-11-03 11:10:37
Gah we need more northerners, clock one up for the Mancunians here
