I've got one here which some Feyranti made up way back before Ellara was born. For some reason it was one of the first things she remembered.

Verse One --

The Celestian, 'e walked home,
hobblin' like a gnome.
He was callin' 'is friends such bloody fools,
fer gettin' kicked, in the family jewels.

Chorus --

Those bloody stupid Celestians,
gettin' kicked in the jewels!
Idiotic, stupid Celestians,
the buggered bloody fools!

Verse Two --

Walked along Sombre Lane one day,
Goin' about what things I may,
ran into an Aquamancer,
kicked 'is jewels an' made 'im a dancer!

Chorus --

Those bloody stupid Celestians,
gettin' kicked in the jewels!
Idiotic, stupid Celestians,
the buggered bloody fools!

Verse Three --

Took up my blade and went to fight,
dawn and dusk, day and night,
cornered some ol' Paladin,
made a slice, now he's a wimmin!

Chorus --

Those bloody stupid Celestians,
gettin' kicked in the jewels!
Idiotic, stupid Celestians,
the buggered bloody fools!

Verse Four --

Now you see it ain't such a shame,
kicked in the jewels, losin' yer fame,
jus' don't mess with Magnagora,
or we'll kick yer jewels some moreeeee-a!

Chorus --

Those bloody stupid Celestians,
gettin' kicked in the jewels!
Idiotic, stupid Celestians,
the buggered bloody fools!

As you can see, it's obviously Magnagoran, and the composer didn't view Celestians as much.

This reminds me that we are in serious need of a few taverns in Lusternia. And it looks like it'll be the duty of some player to do this.

The Wailing Woman Inn has the potential to be a tavern....all we need are some cooks to stock it with ale/wine/champagne and the like.

Is that in Magnagora? I guess you have a head start to us Celestians when it comes to drinking culture...

Yep! It's in Magnagora.

On the other hand, I have a drinking song too. It doesn't HAVE to be a drinking song, but it certainly has the potential.

I hiked around the Basin
For many, many years
And though I met with many a girl
They all drove me to tears

In Magnagora I met her
With skin so fair and bright
But she was stuck in undeath
And smelt of rot and blight

I travelled next to Estelbar
To the Furrikin I crave
Yet though I found a beauty
She was soon sold as a slave

I journeyed to the forest
For the elves are fair to see
But when I’d approach a maiden
She would climb up in a tree

I took the road to new Celest
To compassion, warmth and love
Yet for all the friendly girls there
Not one would be my dove

Thus when I arrived in Rockholm
I was not surprised to see
That not one dwarf without a beard
Would fall in love with me

So I made my way to Delport
For a little love affair
Yet in the hamlet of l’amour
Not one would call me dear

Then I thought ”Perhaps the Orclach
Are more friendly than they seem?”
But when I strode into Acknor
They would scowl and sneer and preen

So I walk alone forever
And I rest alone at night
But I’ll never leave the girls alone
Even if I have to fight!

That's a pretty good song, got a grin or two out of me.

Although the song is good, it's too difficult to perform when you're intoxicated. So anything resembling a song would be reduced to yelling various insults towards your enemies. And it gives the ole "Rotten Magnagorans!" insult a whole new meaning. happy.gif

As far as I know whiskey is bugged. At least the one Aebrin distilled. He drank 20 shots and didn't get drunk. So unless that is fixed we won't need drinking songs.
