We'll be grilling up lots of food of all sorts and there'll be drinks too, maybe a few casual games, and plenty of time to chat and socialize.

An optional but encouraged element: Come As You Aren't. That doesn't mean a costume party; come as yourself. But a different version of yourself. A free license to experiment a little bit with who you are and how people know you. Ask yourself (or your friends), what's the single thing that defines you the most; and then, try changing that up. Come as a different race or gender, or with a different attitude, or dressed as a version of yourself you don't normally show. If you normally dress to a T, come in sloppy torn shorts. Come gender-bent. If you're an ornery cuss, come as an easy-going gad-about. Think of it as a chance to try something different out, without repercussions or judgment.
