19.10.11 THE UR'TRAP ARTIFACTS
The ur'Trap items can be bought with aethergoop from Korue Dragnet, the famous orclach hunter, who can be found on Avechna's Peak.(Room v94) A basic ur'Trap is attuned to specific environments and creatures. It takes 25 Lusternian days for a basic trap to attract a creature and, if it works, it will hold that creature until it is released. These creatures, amazingly enough, carry cookies of a magical nature. Syntax: URTRAP STATUS URTRAP LIST URTRAP SHOW <trap> URTRAP SETUP <trap> CIRCLE <circle> URTRAP SETUP <trap> CONTRACT <contract> URTRAP SETUP <trap> BAIT <bait> - Can hold up to 10 bait URTRAP ACTIVATE <trap> URTRAP SPRING <trap> URTRAP STATS URTRAP PURCHASE LIST URTRAP PURCHASE <item> URTRAP UPGRADE LIST URTRAP UPGRADE <trap|circle|contract|license> UR'TRAPS ======== The basic ur'Trap is attuned to a specific environment and can attract either physical, mystical or ghost creatures. You may only have one ur'Trap active. They can be upgraded two times, each time increasing its power. Higher ur'Trap power translates into a greater chance that a creature will be caught, rather than steal the bait and escape. Level 1 ur'Trap: 5 power (300 aethergoop to purchase) Level 2 ur'Trap: 8 power (500 aethergoop to upgrade) Level 3 ur'Trap: 10 power (1000 aethergoop to upgrade) CIRCLES ======= A circle can be attached to an ur'Trap, which will attract larger creatures. They also are attuned to a specific environment and type of creature (physical, mystical or ghost). They can be upgraded two times. Level 1 Circle: +10% large creature/+5% huge (300 aethergoop to purchase) Level 2 Circle: +20% large creature/+10% huge (500 aethergoop to upgrade) Level 3 Circle: +30% large creature/+15% huge (1000 aethergoop to upgrade) CONTRACTS ========== Contracts are deals struck with a bounty hunter who will oversee your trap and cut down on the time it takes to capture a creature. Like ur'Traps and circles, contracts are for specific environments and creature types. They can be upgraded up to three times. Level 1 Contract: -5 game days (100 aethergoop to purchase) Level 2 Contract: -10 game days (200 aethergoop to upgrade) Level 3 Contract: -15 game days (300 aethergoop to upgrade) Level 4 Contract: -20 game days (400 aethergoop to upgrade) LICENSES ======== A licenses can allow more than one trap to be active. They can be upgraded up two times. Bronze License: +1 extra trap (500 aethergoop to purchase) Silver License: +2 extra traps (1500 aethergoop to upgrade) Gold License: +3 extra traps (2000 aethergoop to upgrade) BAIT ==== Each trap must be baited. You may use ordinary beast feed to bait your traps, or you can use a special golden bait which can be purchased from Korue Dragnet or sometimes found from creatures captured in an ur'Trap. The type of bait that can be used is determined by the type of ur'Trap: Physical ur'Traps: meat, oats or golden bones Mystical ur'Traps: fish, vegetables or golden carrots Ghost ur'Traps: egg, fruit or golden apples A trap can hold up to 10 bait. If a creature escapes the trap, it will automatically re-arm, assuming there is another bait left. One piece of golden bait will fill a trap up to 10 applications. Golden bait also increases a trap's power (+2) and the chance of a larger creature (+10% large creature/+5% huge creature). TREASURE ========= The type of creature caught by an ur'Trap determines what rewards is given. Normally, this would be a cookie, though it could also be golden bait or even an aethergoop craftable. Physical Creatures: golden cookies that give +0.2% critical hit chance Mystical Creatures: silver cookies that give +10% experience Ghost Creatures: divine cookies that give +10% esteem The size of a cookie (which corresponds to the size of a creature) determines how long the bonus will last: Small Cookies: 60 minutes Large Cookies: 180 minutes Huge Cookies: 540 minutes The blessings of the cookies will stack (i.e., 2 golden cookies will give a 0.4% critical hit chance) up to a maximum of 100% (2% for golden). The time will always stack (no limit). Larger creatures also have a bigger chance to drop aethergoop craftables.
