The Sacrifice of the Enigma
The Soulless God Kethuru attempted to use the temporal fields around the City of Hallifax to break free while the Nine Seals were in a weakened state. Opening a rift over Hallifax, the Soulless God began to ooze forth, draining the floating city's power and energy. The Elder God Elostian quickly came to the aid of Hallifax, sacrificing himself to
recharge the generators within the city, enabling the city's defenses to shut down the dimensional anomaly and close the rift.
And so, Kethuru's attempt was defeated but the cost was great. Elostian was wholly consumed in the process, though rumours already abound that whispers of his enormous intellect can be heard thrumming along the power lines among the crystal generators of Hallifax.

Wait, no more Elostian then?
4:04 AM
It kind of sounds like he's still there, but just inside the generators for now. :S
10:01 PM
Eesh I missed this too! Well I guess it explains the switch to Zvoltz.
8:49 AM
Erm, the switch to Zvoltz came before and with different reasons. In fact, I'd go so far as to say that Elostian sacrificed himself because he (quite sadly) became obsolete in Hallifax.
8:26 AM
...That's what I meant.
But of course you know better in Glomdoring.
4:08 PM
It would prolly be pretty disheartening to have everyone who ever claimed to love you jump ship at the first sight of another god in town. And have a former chief guy say Sorry boss, I'd rather die repeatedly in a failing revolt than talk to you right now kthxbai.
8:31 PM
Most of the people who left Lord Elostian's order for Lord Zvoltz did so because they were told to by the former. There were those of us who stayed, only to get kicked out when the Order disbanded, Arel and Ileein included.
9:14 PM
That's pretty interesting. I'm not much of a behind the veil kindof guy, so I did not know that. I do wonder how many are going to jump from Zvoltz to Isune, though. I would, but Saleo works better with Zvoltz. He's not very aesthetic.
1:41 AM
Order is kind of aesthetic, in its own way!
12:00 AM
This is one of the reasons I don't play Aetolia anymore. Gods forming and dying every other month...
3:02 AM
I'm surprised this sacrifice was allowed, really.
7:41 AM
What do you mean? :o
9:02 AM
Well it's just weird to me when a god is allowed to go POOF! so I guess I'm just always shocked whenever that happens. It's such a massive change.
2:16 PM
Eh. That other one was better, the lyre-bird, dude
6:12 AM
Lyreth?
10:07 AM
GIVE HIM BACK TO UUUS. HE WAS THE AWESOME TO MY SAAAUCE.
... but no, seriously, Lyreth keeps sacrificing himself. I want him back so I can come2celest and Cantors. :C
4:04 PM
Just join Mysrai's order and worship Lord Mysrai the Thousand-Harped Lyrebird or something. THERE IS AN OPTION FOR EVERYBODY.
8:49 PM
curious...
9:01 AM
Btw, I love(d) Elostian. A lot. But alas, Nocht, and Affinity.
5:58 AM
Affinity hurts, so bad. And is so expensive to keep up with.
7:16 AM
Drain AND offerings worth like half as much :(
2:46 PM
Pshhhhhh the Divine are too much trouble. You won't catch me in one of Their orders.
11:44 AM
Agree generally. I have far more negative experiences with god-characters than positive. It is unfortunate that you are somewhat forced into it if you want to enjoy favors, a cult, or avatar powers.
9:22 AM
Ya, like if you piss 'em off IC or OOC, you're screwed. Too much trouble, except Lyreth. D: Bring back, plz.
2:24 PM
Pshhh. Fain all the way. Lyreth can stay dead
3:58 PM
Oddly, all of my experiences with divine have been exceptionally positive. Especially Eventru. He's been awesome every time.
12:08 AM
Yeah, Eventru rocks. Forget the Twelve.
9:16 AM
I still feel that this event needs some kind of follow up. To me it didn't feel like it was/is done and over with and it was very abrupt and sudden to most actually.
